The second of three suspects in a series of robberies allegedly initiated through social media pleaded guilty to charges last Friday in Montgomery County Circuit Court.

Jonathan Garrett, 22, of Winchester, pleaded guilty to four counts of second-degree robbery and four counts of unlawful imprisonment.
The Commonwealth Attorney’s Office has recommended a sentence of 10 years on each robbery charge and five years on each of the unlawful imprisonment charges. The sentences are to be run concurrently for a total of 10 years.

Formal sentencing is scheduled for March 10 before Judge Beth Maze.
She will also consider a pre-sentence investigative report that will be compiled by the Office of Probation and Parole prior to sentencing.
Nathon Miller of Lexington previously pleaded guilty to the same charges and was also sentenced to a total of 10 years.

The one remaining defendant, Amber Duncan of Mt. Sterling, is scheduled to enter a plea to charges March 10.

According to media reports, the three allegedly acted as if they planned to buy or sell items online using yard sale groups and sites like Craigslist. When victims showed up at a house on Nevada Avenue they were reportedly robbed at gunpoint.

The victims claimed they were restrained and threatened with physical harm if they reported the alleged crimes to police. Miller reportedly took photographs of the victims IDs in an effort to threaten them from coming forward.
