A Mt. Sterling man is charged with allegedly robbing his mother at knifepoint last week to steal her car.
Jeremy Lee Parker, 35, is lodged in the Montgomery County Regional Jail on charges of first-degree robbery, third-degree terroristic threatening and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, first offense.
During an incident last week at a home on Hwy. 213 in Jeffersonville, Parker reportedly held a knife to his mother’s throat and demanded her car keys, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Det./Sgt. Ralph Charles said.
The woman reportedly handed over the keys and Parker fled in her vehicle, Charles said.
Parker was arrested Sunday in Rowan County and returned to Montgomery County, where he is charged on outstanding warrants, Charles said.
The warrants were served Monday.
